Hey all! Just leaving a note here that, ultimately, my activity on dA has been rather sporadic and will likely continue to be so given that other outlets are just a bit more convenient to interact with. I'll continue to keep popping in and out, but if anyone wants to find me on places where I'm more active, Twitter is definitely the best bet at the moment. Namely because I can check things easily via mobile, which is the largest draw. The Twitter app has proven to be very streamlined for phone use, especially when compared to things like dA and even the Tumblr app.

It is primarily an art Twitter, with comments about DnD shenanigans and worldbuilding and all that. Very little of my real-life posting unless it somehow relates to those things.

Might be around more with the dA update in the future, as there are a lot of quality of life things incoming, but we will see.

About 8 years. My first account was made back in 2007

What does your username mean?
It's the name of my personal "studio" aka the name of my portfolio website. I wanted something that was me, and I really like old English words. "Eventide" is an old word for evening, whereas "lost" in front of it more-or-less translates into "lost evening" which gives the impression of a dream-like night or state. Seeing I do a lot of fantasy art, which can be the focus of dreams, I felt it was fitting.

I didn't know what I was doing with shading or anything, lol.

What is your favourite type of art to create?
Fantasy art of course! I love the creative freedom it offers.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Probably animation, but if I had the option I'd master digital painting first. Just figured seeing that's what I do the question is probably wanting something I don't normally do xD

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Fantasy art and ref sheets. Love the creativity I see in both!

I have a couple. Some major inspirations for me have been and though.

Again, a few people. Probably any of my friends on here would be cool!

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I tend to be really inspired by watching people and their creations grow. Watching originally species being born and then evolving is particularly awesome for me!

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Pencil and sketchpad for the original sketches, and PaintTool SAI/Photoshop with a Bamboo Wacom tablet for lineart and color.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Don't really have one to be honest. I doodle just about everywhere. I was much more productive when I could doodle while listening to lectures in school though, strangely enough.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Winning my first contest!

So, for anyone that didn't get the memo, apparently dA changed Premium Memberships to Core Memberships and, on top of that, threw the price up another $20 or so for a year. So it now costs $50 rather than $26 or whatever it was.

That's more than it costs me to host my own website AND pay for the domain name for a year.

So, I likely won't be renewing my membership, and there's an upheaval at the moment for boycotting the change. So if you don't like it, don't buy it! Maybe they will change it back.

Wow. So. It's been a long time since I kind of just fell off the face of deviantART. Things got busy with finishing up my final semester of school (yeeeeaaah, college grad with all the debt that entails!) plus moving back home and getting a job and then leaving said job to pursue another job, doing some webdesign and other work for my mom's company, etc. etc., and then starting up a new relationship which more or less took up most of my free time with the obligatory honeymoon period, lol! It's okay though. Cause my sweetie is awesome and amazing.

But anyways. I'm going to be popping on here again somewhat. I'm currently pursuing some training for substitute teaching so I'll be doing that during the upcoming school year, but I'm at least trying to consolidate some of my accounts so I can be active on a couple rather than scattered all over the place.
